The Truth About Grief

the Myth of Its Five Stages and the New Science of Loss

Having just lost my Mother, this book was not so much informative as it is comforting. People know how to grieve on their own, without the five stages, or expensive grief counsellors, or any support at all. And it's okay and probably normal, to get over the shock without being a basket case and get on with your life in a short period of time. This book is the truth about grieving. Forget the experts.
