In "Revolution 2020" Chetan Bhagat has done the impossible. He has taken the eternal plot of a triangle - two guys and a girl - and spun an interesting, almost gripping, novel. The book is set in the city of Varanasi, the place where everyone goes to wash off sins in the sacred Ganges and the rivers Varun and Assi. I just returned from Varanasi when I sat down to read the book and loved the references to various places in the city and the Ramada Hotel where I had stayed. Gopal and Raghav are two childhood friends and they both share a friendship with Aarti. Then their innocent childhood is over and they have to face life. I as the reader constantly wavered between wanting Gopal to succeed and the passionate Raghav to do so. Is one man a hero and another a villain? Very hard to say. The best thing to do would be to read the book and judge for yourself. If you think this is a simple book with a simple plot, think again. As the author says "Sometimes life isn't about what you want to do,but what you ought to do." The story is also about seizing opportunities , for after all, "Life may not offer you the same chance twice."
