Decker is an unlikeable idiot savant as portrayed in this book. The plot is a bit convoluted and contrived and the likable characters are given little to do but be amazed at Decker and his lack of social skills. The ineptitude of all government agencies is the recurring theme of Baldacci yet he gets all these geniuses to work for these inept agencies
