This children's book is valuable to teens and adults, too. On the outside Daniel’s life seems quite ordinary: he has a best friend, he’s on the football team, he has a crush on a gal. On the inside he’s a mess. With the help of a quiet girl, who has her own troubles, Daniel learns that his problem has a name and that he’s not alone. Within the context of growing up, this story addresses mental illness with humor and tenderness, a little mystery and science fiction.
