Good read . Set back in the days of ridiculous racism . Young 10 yr old Jeremy does not understand why he can't be friends with the Negroes where he lives. When the bus goes off the little bridge during a terrible storm , he is key to the saving of some on the bus . And so is his Negro friend Josias .
