When the urge to build conspires with a vision of beauty, man creates an enduring legacy that is seen in the Colosseum, Machu Picchu, the Great Wall, the Kremlin, Versailles, the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, and Mount Rushmore. Nature reveals its magnificence in many different and special ways, as shown by the Grand Canyon, Iguazu Falls, the Amazon River, Ayers Rock, and the Himalayas. Also included are six supreme examples of man's architectural achievements.

This well-produced travelogue-documentary from Reader's Digest takes the ever-eager viewer on a non-stop trip around the world in order to show them not only this planet's stunning natural beauty, but to also proudly present a number of man's most impressive architectural achievements, as well (which seemed to consist of far too many temples, and such, for my liking).

Featuring lots and lots of first-rate camerawork and informative narration - "21 Wonders" (in my opinion) lost itself some serious points for not including anything "Canadian" in its worldwide trekking around. I mean, C'mon!! - Aren't Canada's magnificent Rockies worth some attention??

Anyway - My 3 favourite tours in this 4-hour documentary-excursion were of the Sahara Desert. the Grand Canyon, and the Iguazu Falls.

There are no subtitles offered with this presentation.

Be sure to view the spectacular bonus program called "Symphony of Wonders".

If you can't get out there to see them, this is a great way to do it. I've not been able to go see Crazy Horse yet but this does a great job.
