An incredible example of a narrated movie drama containing reveals that are outside the norm.

There are better and more in depth examinations of this subject matter. I believe one is called the Lincoln Conspiracy. This subject is fascinating if you dig deep enough. Booths diary just happened to be hidden by Stanton and lo and behold, pages are missing. I fully believe Edwin Stanton was a conspirator. There's all kinds of gems if you research this topic extensively enough. The autopsy of Booth has never been found....hmmm.....follow the Stanton trail, people!

Decent reenanactment of President Lincoln's assassination and the events surrounding it. Somewhat illuminating, but nothing new is really revealed. The filming of Louis Powell's assassination attempt on Sec. of State Seward looks like it was intended to be the original slasher movie, with Powell lumbering around stabbing and slashing people. You could easily imagine Michael Myers or Jason doing the same thing in a modern day horror movie.

An 'docu-drama' made with dedicated accuracy and dramatic intensity. Blessedly free of talking heads ! ,..except for ocasional and unobtrusive narration by Tom Hanks. Sets a new standard for this type of historical representation.

Fast moving docudrama based on the book by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard. It centered on their research from John Booth's diary which apparently recorded his account of the assassination plot and as a fugitive afterwards.
