Mr. Bean enters a church raffle and wins a vacation to France as well as a camcorder. Boarding a Eurostar train and arriving in Paris, the French language proves to be a barrier for Bean. He struggles to catch his train to the south of France. He orders a seafood meal and finds the consumption of the platter to be a challenge. Just before catching his train, he asks Russian film director Emil, who is on his way to be a judge at the Cannes Film festival, to record his boarding. Emil is inadvertedly left behind. Bean attempts to cheer up the director's son, Stepan, as the train continues south. Matters are made more hectic when Emil reports his son beening kidnapped. Bean heads in the direction of Cannes, but finds himself disrupting a commercial shoot. He and Stepan finally hitch a ride with the young and vivacious actress Sabine who is heading to Cannes. After Bean sneaks into the showing, his camcorder images are destined to enliven the proceedings.

The mood changes during the movie from funny to sadness in a smooth transition. This movie is definitely suitable for ages 10 and up. I wasn’t expecting Mr. Bean to make so many silly mistakes such as leaving his wallet (I think it was his wallet) on top of the telephone booth. But maybe that was how they made the movie funny. The movie obviously didn’t have that much of dialogue except when Sabine (Emma de Caunes) came in. She talked most of the dialogue in this movie. The story line was very good. Mr. Bean did talk a little bit but a very few amount of words which was not so surprising. One thing that still is confusing to me is how did Sabine gain access to Mr. Bean’s car? I really don’t get it.
Anyway, this movie is amazingly funny, has a good story line and some great sceneries.

Not as funny as I had hoped. Maybe I am getting a little tired of this stich. I did like his use of the camcorder-rather clever.
