Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy! Fun musical fluff with a heartfelt message and amazing dancers! and the hair! See the stage version, if you can get a rush ticket. See John Waters' love letter to his hometown if you can find it - I wish our library…

Love this musical version. (Also loved the original John Waters version too- which I viewed recently.) Lots of fantastic songs thru out the movie. Without Love my number one favorite. The entire cast gives terrific performances. Everyone…

This stupid, nerdy dumb flick about stupid nerdy teens is not for me.

This movie was really good. This musical gave us a glimpse of the racist and sexist culture in the 60's. Super good dancing, outfits, and singing.

"Hairspray" has a great storyline and music, but I much prefer the stage version. I know not everyone can see the stage version, but it seemed to have more energy and was more fun than this film. I found parts of it a little boring, and…

VERY GOOD 2007 film version of Hairspray - interesting cast including John Travolta as main character Tracy's large size mother. It is a bit whack - but entertaining and I enjoyed it as I have the other renditions of Hairspray I have seen…

Set in 1960’s Baltimore, eccentric Tracy Turnblad finds her way as a dancer on the Corny Collins Show and becomes the first “different” looking person to ever appear on such mainstream television. While on the show, she brings racial…

Hairspray is an incredibly funny, cute, and quirky musical with a very strong and powerful message about equality. Set in the sixties, this film follows the story of Tracy Turnblad, a brave and confident high school girl with big dreams…

Wow, so many haters. This is my favorite musical movie of all time. I adore most of the songs, especially Without Love, and Tracy, Seaweed, and Penny are so cool. I can watch this over and over again,

The movie didn't include all the songs from the original musical in which is too bad. Wonderful wonderful performances of John Travolta as Edna and seductive sexy performance of Michelle Pfeiffer as Velma Von Tussle. I still think the…

Stick with John Waters' version. Ricky Lake made a better Tracy Turnblad and Divine outshone Travolta as Tracy's mother. I say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

An OK film, fairly well done, though it did get boring and almost abnocious at points. I guess the biggest reason that I was interested in it is that it was filmed less that a block from my house, but I guess it was pretty good film.

Skip it. I never thought the original was any good and that's simply because, as a musical, the songs should be good - they were not. The story is tiresome as well.

A fabulous movie. I couldn't stop smiling. John Travolta in drag took a little getting used to, but he does such a marvelous job. Everyone does. A whole lot of fun all around.
